MGM's "Flyboys" took off and joined "The Guardian" and "Gridiron Gang" in September's top movies earning Trevor the unique distinction of three movies in the Top Ten in the same week. Varese Sarabande released the "Flyboys" score album on October 10, 2006. Dean Devlin was responsible for raising the $60 million to finance this independent film, or as he would conclude, "the biggest low-budget film ever made". A considerable task considering he was going against the grain of the movie establishment. Working with the top classical artists in the world (members of the London Symphony, St. Martin's in the Field and the London Chamber Orchestra) was an added pleasure. Notice the penny whistle in the score and you'll hear Trevor taking it back to his roots. George Martin must have known something special was in the works as he stopped by to chat with Trevor.

“Gridiron Gang", Sony's feel-good football drama, tackled the No. 1 spot on its opening weekend September 15, 2006, scoring $15 million at the Box Office The film for the true-life drama takes place at a youth probation center in Los Angeles, starring Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson as Sean Porter, a guy horrified by the statistics that of the 120,000 juveniles incarcerated annually, 90,000 return to prison. To fight this seemingly irreversible tide of juvenile crime, Porter proposes to build the self-esteem of his hard cases by teaching them the discipline and teamwork of football. Following the premiere weekend Trevor commented: “I love that “Gridiron Gang” is #1 particularly because I so liked working with Phil Janou, personally and creatively. He is an unquestionable talent. The Rock was great too. He's a wonderful person as well as a charismatic presence in the movie.” The music score is now available.

“Snakes on a Plane” slithered to the top of the box office on its opening weekend, August 20, 2006. Snake-mania took over the internet generating much interest due to its title and premise: On a transpacific flight, a Hawaiian mobster trying to eliminate a protected witness uncorks a carton of poisonous serpents. Trevor scored the orchestral music of this outrageous action / horror film describing his work with director David Ellis as “100% fun!” “Snakes on a Plane:The Album”, a compilation album of songs within the movie, is now available.

Trevor attended the premiere of "The Guardian" on September 7, 2006 in Washington D.C.'s historic Uptown Theater. He joined the cast of Kevin Costner, Ashton Kutcher and Sela Ward for this event whose proceeds benefited the U.S. Coast Guard Foundation, a non-profit group that supports members of the U.S. Coast Guard and its academy. The film follows Jake Cumming (Kutcher), a rebellious young man who enlists in the US Coast Guard, where he is taken under the wing of a famed rescue swimmer (Costner) still struggling with the loss of his team in an accident years earlier. Trevor wrote the film score as well as co-wrote and co-produced the title song 'Never Let Go' with Bryan Adams who sang lead vocals. While taking a short break in the studio Trevor said, “ Prior to reading the script I wasn't aware of the true heroics played by this small branch of men and women in the armed forces. The film not only has adventure but heart and soul as well. " The film was released on September 29, 2006.

With three movies set for release in September Trevor isn't the only Rabin that's been busy. Ryan's band, The Outline released their first CD on July 11, 2006. For two years The Outline has been crafting their powerful sound to encompass anything and everything, including fist-pumping anthems, pure rock, electronic soundscapes, and a rousing musical number that leaves you with your faith in new music renewed. Check out their album “You Smash It, We'll Build Around It” - by clicking on the album cover.

Though Trevor's most notable work of late has been in the realm of film you can also hear his musical gems on television. For four years TNT has been using Trevor's NBA theme (for what has to be the only sports theme written totally in 7/8), there is the NASCAR theme on NBC, as well as the closing music for the 2006 Winter Olympics (Theme from 'Great Raid' and 'Remember the Titans'). Trevor also wrote the main theme for “Soldiers of Fortune” and “E Ring”.

"Glory Road" opened at number one in the box office on January 13, 2006. He worked with Alica Keyes for the soundtrack where they penned six new collaborations between them. “Alicia was a breath of fresh air. She was wonderful to work with and listen to.” One song to listen for is a gospel hymn written in 1916, which Trevor arranged, played guitar and Fender Rhodes.
