The Big Generator Tour concluded in Japan. Jon remained in Japan, Chris returned to England, Alan went home to Seattle, Tony and Trevor returned to Los Angeles. This reflected the natural break that takes place after extensive touring. As usual Trevor was intrigued with many projects. Working with Roger Hodgeson was one he pursued and the sessions they spent together were very rewarding. Trevor had also been inspired writing, collecting pages and pages of new material. He felt free and invigorated - and now was the time to record a new solo album. This was truly a solo effort as Trevor played all the instruments (with the exception of Lou Molino on drums). Critics loved the album and found its attractiveness in the contrasting genres of music. Not only can one see the diversity in the styles of music but a depth to Trevor’s lyric’s emerges. “I’m happy and proud of Can’t Look Away and it’s an album I believe speaks for itself. There’s a lot of passion that went into ‘Can’t Look Away' and 'Sorrow’ “ There’s also much to be said about Trevor the artist expressing his sense of social responsibility as both these songs target the subject of Apartheid.
