As each new Yes album progessed so did Trevor’s responsibilities. He wrote, produced, engineeered, played keyboards, guitars and vocals for Talk. To that end Talk holds it place in the history of the recording arts as the first album comprehensively recorded on a non-linear computer system - the entire album was recorded direct to disk rather than to tape. Since the band needed sixteen tracks and you could only get four tracks per computer four computers were linked as a recording tool. Though today's technology allows one to record hundreds of tracks to one computer, at the time this was on the cutting edge of technology creating new interfaces and recording techniques.

This was also the first album that Trevor and Jon worked closely together as writers. Trevor and Jon met at a resort not far from Los Angeles where they spent time writing, talking and walking on the beach. Endless Dream was the highlight of Talk for Trevor. He recalls playing the final mix for Jon: “Jon had brought Damion (Jon's son) to the studio to listen to it. As it played he was crying. I'll never forget what he said, “This is one of the most exciting musical experiences of my life.” I felt proud too.”

Alas Victory Music (their record company) was in dishevel when Yes went on tour and promotion was sparse. By all accounts the band played well. Unfortunately fuses were short and soon after the tour Trevor left the band.
